Driving on the fast mode

For those first time in Qatar you might see that everything on the road seems all in hurry, aggressive, and in fast pace.

That reckless drivers have no fear of death, overspeeding, agressive, changing lane without giving signal, wandering between lanes, an inch bumper-to-bumper tailgating are not uncommon. Only one thing, they fear of speed cameras. Not really by the way, with only 300QAR for speeding fine, it’s a peanut for those who can afford to buy a landcruiser or other big monsters. Sometimes it’s ridiculous. They overtook me from right and left, drove overspeeding and they applied brake suddently just before the cameras. Why don’t you just keep overspeeding? If you fear no death why you fear of 300QAR?

A safety engineer, a role model for my family, I endeavor to obey any traffic safety rules, primarily speed limit, regardless there is a camera or not (although I installed a proximity point – locations of cameras – in my GPS that warn me if I approach the cameras. It is not because that rials, it is because of my safety, my family safety and my other’s safety. Life is too short to waste. When road accident happened due to your reckless it is not fate. It is your fool. I understand that the death is upon God’s hand, He determined when and by which way we are called. But remember also that we are given the results/consequences in commensurate to what we have done. If reckless driving is your habit, I have no wonder if traffic accident is befriend of you. It is not fate it is simply your choice.

Please, drive defensively. Leave your aggressive at cemetery. Obey traffic safety rules. The rules out there are put for reasons. It’s not only about you it’s also about your family, other road users, and other road users family. Life is too short to waste (by driving recklessly).
